Bida Poly Students Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Home Theaters, Air Conditioners, Others, On Campus | READ DETAILS
Two students of Bida Polytechnic in Niger state, have been arrested for allegedly stealing air-conditioner, plasma television, printers, home theater, industrial fans, and stabilizers.
Parading the suspects who were arrested by the security unit of the polytechnic, at the Administrative Block of the school on Tuesday, May 4, the Chief Security Officer, Alhaji Hussaini Mohammed, said that they were arrested following persistent cases of burglaries and theft on campus.
The suspects are; David Abel, an ND II student of Architectural Department , Mark Saidu, ND II student of Urban and Regional Planning Department and one Adamu Ahmed, who operates at Panteka in Minna, and often bought stolen properties from the students.
Abel said his role was to move the stolen properties out of the school premises while Saidu conveyed them from Bida to Minna after every operation. Ahmed confessed to only buying the stolen items from the students.
The suspects took the security personnel to different places they have burgled within the school and were subsequently handed over to the police.
