Abia Warriors Chairman ‘John Obuh’, Appoints Veteran Ex- Footballer As Sporting Director, Assistant Coach
The newly appointed Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club, Coach John Obuh, who formally took over the affairs of the club on 19th July 2023, has appointed a Veteran Nigeria Ex-International, Emeka Ifejiagwa as the club’s new Sporting Director.
Obuh also appointed Coach Bethel Orji as the club’s new assistant coach.
The Chairman who announced the appointments during his inaugural meeting with staff and members of the club, revealed that the appointments are with immediate effect as the team begins preparations for the new Nigeria Professional League season.
Coach John Obuh charged them to put in their best and make sure that Abia Warriors make Abians and Nigerians proud.
Ifejiagwa plied his trade with Udoji United, Iwuanyanwu Nationale and Bendel Insurance in Nigeria, for Charlton Athletic and Brighton & Hove Albion in England, for CA Osasuna in Spain, and for VfL Wolfsburg and Waldhof Mannheim in Germany.
While the new assistant gaffer, Coach Bethel Orji, had stints as a coach with Abia Warriors, Enyimba Feeders, and Abia Comets.
