The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has described Archbishop Lucius Ugorji as a good shepherd of God’s flock deserving of his recent elevation.
The Speaker stated this in his congratulatory message to His Grace, Most Rev Dr Lucius Ugorji on his recent elevation as an Archbishop presiding over the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri.
The Speaker recalled how during the Annual Harvest/Bazaar Thanksgiving Mass of Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, on 10th November, 2019, presided over by Most Rev Dr Lucius Ugorji, the then Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, he announced to the congregation while the Bishop was seated that he would be elevated in no distant time to an Archbishop. And true to the Speaker’s words, just over two years later, the Bishop’s elevation as the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri was announced.
The Speaker congratulated the Archbishop on his elevation and prayed God to strengthen and grant him the needed wisdom to continue to shepherd God’s flock to higher heights.
