SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Inline with the provision of the 1999 Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria and Abia State Local Government Amendment Law 2005, Abia State Independent Electoral Commission has scheduled Local Government Elections in Abia State for December 18th, 2020.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to perform Adhoc electoral duties

1. Returning Officer (LGA):
A minimum of First Degree recognized University and not below the rank of a Director or its equivalent in the Public Service is required.

2. Collation Officer (Ward):
A minimum of First Degree from a recognized University and previous experience n electoral duties is required.

3. Supervisors (Ward):
A minimum of first Degree from a recognized University and previous
experience in electoral duties is required.

4. Presiding Officers:
A minimum of OND, Advanced NABTEB or equivalent is required. Previous experience in electoral duties is a plus.

5. Poll Clerk:
A minimum of WASC, SSCE, NABTEB is required.

6. Poll Orderly:
A minimum of FSLC is required.

All applications must be submitted to the ABSIEC Office in the Local Government Area of residence.

Applicants also must be resident in their respective wards where they choose to serve.

Applications must be submitted not later than Friday 30th October 2020.
