The 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, in Abia State have killed a robbery suspect said to be part of a five-member gang terrorizing  Aba, the State’s commercial city.

The incident occurred at an army outpost  by Ariaria Junction, where one of the gang members was injured while others were arrested.

A military source told The Nation that the gang operating in a commercial bus refused to stop when the soldiers flagged them down, but instead barged into the military barrier.

The soldiers sensing danger, opened fire on them, killing one and injuring another who was rushed to the hospital.
