How My Ex-Husband Abused Me- Blessing Okoro
On the heels of the uproar against domestic violence, controversial relationship and mental health expert, Blessing Okoro, commonly known as Blessing CEO has recounted how her ex-husband subjected her to abuse.
The 32-year-old’s revelation follows a long list of grievances against the pangs of domestic violence after the death of popular “‘Ekwueme” singer, Osinachi.
The songstress fell to long-term abuse at the hands of her now-arrested husband.
Sharing a video from her wedding in 2019, the social media personality stated her ex-husband beat her a day to their wedding and dragged her to the altar.
Berating her ex-husband, the mother-of-two revealed she got married at 19 to Lucky, the man who ”took away” her “youth at 15 years”.
The Ebonyi-state born also claimed Lucky not only beat her before her family and friends prior to the wedding, but continued even after they exchanged vows at the altar.
Citing her younger sister as a witness, Blessing stated he beat her ”to coma” two weeks after the wedding and went on to bounce on her already ”unconscious body”.
The relationship blogger explained she divorced him two years later at age 21, with the union producing a child.
According to Blessing, her estranged husband has not provided ”one kobo” for their son’s upkeep in five years.
Taking to her space on Instagram to share her experiences and divorce documents, the self-acclaimed relationship expert stressed on the need for women to be financially independent as divorce is expensive.
