ABIA: House of Reps Sets Ad Hoc Committee Over Kidnapping In Isuikwuato, Umunneochi | SEE LIST
Following lamentations over the heightened cases of kidnapping and killing along Isuikwuato-Umunneochi Local Government Areas of Abia State, the House of Representatives have set up an Ad-hoc committee to interface with security agencies in a bid to combat the insecurity challenge.
In recent times, there have been renewed attacks, killing and kidnapping of villagers and travellers by criminals who are alleged to be herders especially along; Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway through Lokpanta, Ihube-Isuochi road, Uturu-Okigwe Road, ABSU junction- Akara Road, Uturu-Afikpo Road, Umuaku-Umunze Road, Awgu Ishiagu Road and other roads within Isuikwuato and Umunneochi Local Government Areas.
The member representing Isuikwuato and Umunneochi Federal constituency of Abia State, Honorable Amobi Ogah, had before the green chambers condemned the incessant attacks while calling for urgent actions to be taken to salvage his constituents and the community at large.
