2023 PRESIDENCY: How Job Opportunities Can Be Created In Nigeria – Pius Anyim Reveals

A Former Senate President and a presidential aspirant in the upcoming 2023 election, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has explained why he wants to become Nigeria’s president come 2023.

According to Anyim, he intends to focus on the contemporary world economic direction manufacturing, talent, innovation, science and technology which will in turn boost job opportunities in the country.

He said this while speaking on his presidential bid on Arise Tv morning show program monitored by ALL FACT NEWSPAPER on Monday, January 17, 2022.

He said;

”I would focus the economy on the contemporary world economic direction; manufacturing, talent, innovation, science and technology. The whole idea here is that job will multiply on their own as different from what we are doing presently.

” If you elevate talent and innovation then all you need to do is to simply create infrastructure for innovation then support new start up businesses just concentrate on what will create job on its own.

” Support the younger ones in setting up their own businesses in such a manner they don’t need to wait for government  employment  and once they create their own businesses they would be in a position to employ others.

”The advantage of private sector employment is that it is more efficient- it is more rewarding and terms of salaries and  it is more productive but when employment is left only for government agencies and all that it becomes less productive, becomes less efficient it becomes an entitlement and not work.

” I will focus on those things that would create an economic environment that would encourage talented Nigerians to deploy their talent and eventually focus on innovation that will fit into the fourth industrial revolution that is already here with us

” once we fit in to the fourth  industrial revolution people are no longer sitting back to apply for Job, apply for this, apply for that , they would create job themselves, they would support themselves the whole scenario will change.

” I want to believe that it will help get us out of the issue of borrowing to pay salaries, borrowing for the current expenditure and all that.

”I want  to believe that my economic direction will actually shift from where we are today to a new dimension that is the new direction of the world economy and the world economy now focuses on the younger talent and innovation and I want to believe that certainly that would make a differs.
