2023 Election: Labour Party Is The Change We Need – NYMCG
With the 2023 General Election imminent, the National Youth Movement For Credible Governance (NYMCG), Abia State Chapter has called on youths to take up responsibility in the forthcoming election as that would determine the fate of the country for the next four years.
The leader of the movement, Hon. Adiele Precious Nwachukwu during its meeting held on Sunday at the American Quarters Research Guests House, Umudike, Abia State said that it’s time to rebuild, rephrase and reclaim the country down to the grassroots.
He acknowledged that the meeting was aimed at familiarizing youths in Abia state with the role they can play in actualizing a change that would positively impact the lives of Nigerians.
“My expectation is there is a new Nigeria where everyone would like to belong, where things will work again, where people would not leave their fathers land and go outside to look for green pasture, a Nigeria where everything about the youth is taken care of.” Adiele Said.
Expressing regret that Nigerians have been victimized by bad governance in the past, he however reassured that the Labour Party candidates are here to correct it.
He said: “Nigeria is blessed, richly blessed. But bad governance has swindled the riches of Nigeria, but Labour candidates are here to correct it”
“We are advocating for a new Nigeria where we would move from consumption to production like the Labour Party Presidential Candidate Mr. Peter Obi [The principal] always say”
Not failing to make his frustration known at the state level, he said: “Abia State needs to be liberated and that is what Dr. Alex Otti [Labour Party gubernatorial candidate] is here to do.”
“I encourage Abians to be wise to know the kind of people to vote for. Not people that would go to office and enrich their pockets.”
Citing Ebonyi state with it’s infrastructure as an example, he said: “Abia is been left out. we need someone credible enough. someone that would attract foreign investment to the land, someone that would make the economy work, someone that has Abians in mind.”
Calling on the youth to take up their responsibility, the NYMCG Abia State Chapter Legal Advisor, Comr. Ogbonnaya James said: “I want to urge the youth to take up the responsibility and cause the change we desire. Go pick your PVC and cast your vote. Don’t mind the money politics. It’s your integrity that matters. Enough of the bad governance”
“It’s the change we desire, and the change can only be now. It’s only determination backed with action that can give us the result we desire.” He concluded.
Thank you very much for sharing, I learned a lot from your article. Very cool. Thanks.
