World richest man, Elon Musk, has denied any plans to buy the English club, Manchester United football club.
The billionaire and CEO of Tesla had on Tuesday tweeted that he will be buying Manchester United but followed it up after 24hrs, saying that it was a joke.
Musk who has a long story of making erratic tweets .
Manchester United is currently controlled by the American Glazer’s family, but the British Newspaper of Daily Mirror had announced last year that the Glazer’s were prepared to sell the club for $4.8b.
Musk who currently announced his exit from a $44b agreement with Twitter is facing trials in court.
Some of the club’s fans had previously urged Musk on Twitter to consider buying the club, complaining at what they see as under-investment by the Glazers. United haven’t won the English league title since the glory days of manager Alex Ferguson, claiming the last of their record 20 wins in 2013.
