Senate Confirms Sam Onuigbo For North-East Development Commission
The senate has confirmed the nomination of the immediate past member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, Rep. Sam Onuigbo as a member, North East Development Commission.
The confirmation was done today on the floor of the senate by the Senator President, Godswill Akpabio.
Below are the nominees confirmed today : General Paul Tarfa, Chairman (North East, Adamawa); Frank Achinike Osborn Member ( South South, Rivers); Mohammed Goni Alkali (Managing Director, North East Borno); Hon Gambo Maikomo member (North East, Taraba); Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo, Member( South East, Abia); Abdullahi Abbas member (North West, Kano); Tsav Stephen Aondoana, Member (North Central, Benue); Chief Mutiu Lawal Areh, Member (South West, Lagos), Musa Yashi, Exec.Dir (North East), Abdulsalam Yahaya Ahmed, Exec.Dir.(North East), Dr Abubakar Garba Iliya, Exec Dir (North East)
Onuigbo will be representing the South East on the Board.
The NEDC is charged with the rehabilitation, reconstruction, and general development of the North East of Nigeria.
