A former Minister under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that the searchlight of the presidential investigation will soon turn on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Fani-Kayode said this in his reaction to the ongoing investigation of the suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.

In his submission, Fani-Kayode noted that the real target is not Magu, but those he worked for and protected for the last four years.

He wrote: “What is happening to Magu today was planned years ago. The real target is not Magu but those he worked for and protected for the last 4 years. He NEVER worked for Buhari. He worked for Tinubu & Osinbajo. When they finish crushing him they will move against his two godfathers.”

Magu, who is been questioned by a presidential investigative panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami is accused of re-looting the recovered loots and using the unaccounted proceeds/property to illegally enrich himself and his associates.

The loots run into several billions of Naira, AFNews understands and includes landed property, cash, and oil assets.

According to the presidential investigative committee, some of these assets have been sold at give-away prices to Magu’s associates while others have been taken over by some top EFCC officials without following due process.

The proceeds from the sales of some of these assets have also been stashed in bank accounts of those individuals serving as fronts for Magu.
