On Thursday, May 28, China evacuated 325 of its citizens from Nigeria via an Air Peace flight.
The flight took off at 10:05 pm on Thursday and is headed for Shanghai.
However, the virus was first reported in China in December 2019 and the country has reported at least 82,000 cases with more than 4,000 deaths.
The Chinese nationals left the country on the same day Nigeria reported 182 new infections bringing the total number of cases to 8,915.
