Police Arrests ‘Yahoo Boy’ With Human Parts, Uncover Written Note
A suspected fraudster (name yet to be known), has been arrested in possession of human body parts by operatives of Delta State police command alongside his herbalist simply identified as Ike, alias Ogenesu.
The fraudster was arrested on Friday at about 5:20pm, after he tried evading a stop and search routine by the police while driving in Obiarukwu area of the state.
Five Police officers attached with Obiaruku Police Station had flagged him down but he sped off which led the officers to give him a hot chase and he was later caught.
According to an eyewitness, a written note instructing him on the needed human body parts was found in his vehicle. On getting a search warrant, the officers moved to his residence, a three bedroom flat in Obiaruku, in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State where the same note was found.
On interrogation, the suspected indicted Ike who he claimed asked him to provide the body parts. The confession led to the arrest of the herbalist the next day.
According to a source who spoke to PUNCH, a decomposing corpse was found beside a fish pond in Ike’s residence.
“The herbalist used nylon to cover the corpse and since the corpse was close to the fish pond, nobody perceived the smell because of the odour around the fish pond.
“The policemen took the Yahoo boy and the herbalist to the station and they were transferred to the state command for further investigation,” the source said.
A video clip showed the herbalist unwrapping a sack containing the bones of a corpse.
A human skull was also seen beside the sack in the midst of policemen questioning him over the incident.
In his defence, Ike was heard saying, “It was my child that was buried; I dug the grave and removed the corpse from where it was buried.”
