Peter Obi Wins Labour Party Presidential Ticket, As Others Step Down | READ DETAILS/PHOTOS
A former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has become the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party.
Recall that Obi, had withdrawn from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to pursue his presidential ambition under the platform of the LP.
Obi was declared winner at the Labour Party’s Convention and presidential primary held in Asaba, Delta State on Monday, May 30, 2022.
Before his emergence, Professor Pat Utomi and 45-year-old Joseph Faduri all stepped down for Obi.
Peter Obi took to his social media handle to write;
Peter Obi has sailed to victory in Labour Party.
I just emerged as the party’s flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election as Professor Pat Utomi withdraws from the contest. Thank you everyone who made this possible.
