‘Gov. Otti Never Tagged Aba A ‘No Man’s Land’ – Charles Nwangwa Counters Chikamnayo
An Obingwa born industrialist, Chief Lawrence Charles Nwangwa (Akajiugo), has countered former commissioner for Information in Abia state, Eze Chikamnayo on his claim that the Executive governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, described Aba, the commercial city of the state as a ‘no man’s land’.
Nwangwa described Chikamnayo’s outburst as a mere propaganda, noting that governor Alex Otti will not be the first to appoint a non-indigene of Ngwa as Mayor.
The industrialist noted that 80% of Heads of Aba administration had been non indigenes of Ngwa people before now, adding that Governor Otti has the right to
Nwangwa noted also that the people of Ngwa held power for eight years and never planned for the future nor worked as a “sub nation but was parochial and created schisms amongst its elites.”
“His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, the governor of Abia state is at liberty to use the powers he sought for and got as he deems fit” he added.
Chief Lawrence Charles Nwangwa wrote;
NOT TRUE!
The Governor never called ABA a ‘NO MAN’S LAND’.
Let’s not out of hatred or outright mischief fan the embers of discord.
It won’t be the first time a non Ngwa person was appointed MAYOR or Head of Aba Municipality administration. Before now 80% of the Heads of Aba administration had been non Ngwa people. You know better.
It happens in all major cities in the Nigeria and in the world. Check out from Lagos to London, Aba to Abuja etc.
I repeat no genuine Ngwa man will engage in infantile firefight over the personal grudge of some individuals for whom FEEDING BOTTLES have been taken out of their mouths.
We are wiser now. We should reel in shame that our own son could not hold and manage powers given to him well.
The NGWA instead of working as a sub nation was parochial and created schisms amongst its elites.
We held POWER for EIGHT YEARS consecutively and in just THREE MONTHS we are wailing. We did as we deemed fit and never planned ahead.
HIS EXCELLENCY DR. ALEX CHIOMA OTTI OFR THE GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE is at liberty to use the powers he sought for and got as he deems fit. WHOEVER DOES NOT LIKE IT SHOULD SET UP HIS OR THEIR STRUCTURES PUT HIS OR THEIR RESOURCES/NETWORK AND GRAB IT BACK.
For me I give the GOVERNOR unflinching support.
I am happy I GAVE THE WARNING BEFORE HAND.

STOP ALEX OTTI BEFORE HE SETS ABIA ON FIRE By Chief Eze Chikamnayo, Esq. former Commissioner for Information and Strategy , Abia State
My attention has been drawn to a very disgraceful and totally divisive video being circulated on the social media platforms and which if not immediately checked, will set Abia State on fire and ruin the atmosphere of peace and security we have enjoyed hitherto.
During his incoherent remarks in that Video Mr Alex Otti , Governor of Abia State was gleefully making statements that were ostensibly meant to stoke crisis between Indigenes and Non Indigenes of Aba , the Commercial nerve center of our Dear State.
Mocking the Ngwa Indigenes, owners of Aba, Mr Otti boasted amongst others that:
” ^ I will be announcing billionaires as Mayors of local governments and if you don’t like it, go and hit your head on the wall….ALL OF US ARE INDIGENES….IF ANYBODY TELLS YOU (OTHERWISE) THE MAN DOESN’T HAVE BRAIN !!!!
This tragic reckless and insensitive subversion of history purporting that ABA IS A NO MAN’S LAND and coming from a Governor that’s supposed to carefully manage the fragile sensibilities of our various peoples is to say the least shameful and shocking .
For the avoidance of doubt, Aba as we know it today , belongs to two related Communities known as ” ABA NA OHAZU. It is not a no man’s land as is being painted by Alex Ott and CAN NEVER BE.
The Indegeous Peoples of Aba is made up of ABA NA OHAZU. They and only they are and will forever remain the real owners of Aba.
It is therefore preposterous and mischievous for anyone, no matter his position to arrogate to himself the Non existing powers to mangle this irrefutable fact of history because of temporary political advantage.
Non Indigenes from other parts of Abia State and or Igbo land like old Bende, Anambra, Enugu, Imo State or Ebonyi, regsrdless of their wealth or status should never allow themselves to be deceived by Mr Alex Otti to assume that they can mutate into the owners of Aba.
By recklessly declaring that Aba is a NO MAN’S LAND, Mr Alex Otti is inadvertently setting Abia on Fire and instigating avoidable unrest in that peaceful City. For reasons best known to him, he is ostensibly trying to stoke this fire of indigene – nonindegene dichotomy to futher insult the Ngwa Nation and polarize the polity.
Maybe because of his inert desire to assuge his own internal contradictions that has made him a bipolar element with identity crisis hovering between Nvosi and Arochukwu, Otti is now drawing Abia State into needless katakata that will lead to loss of lives and property if not nipped in the bud.
Since assumption of office, Mr Alex Otti penchant for playing to the gallery is legendary. If he truly wants to patronize his fellow bid men like Bourdex, Udeagbara and Co, he must not reduce them to Canon fodders thereby setting them up against the people.
Chief Udeagbala has built a name for himself in Aba and has lived peacefully with the people. He shouldn’t allow himself to be messed up by any dimunitive conman.
Aba people, Abians everywhere and all peace loving people everywhere should shun devilish instigation and embrace peace. They should not succumb to the whims and caprices of a confused and rudderless sinking despot clowning in the name of governance.
Can Mr Alex Otti go to Umuahia and tell Ibeku and Ohuhu people that Umuahia North is a no man’s land? Can he go to Owerri , Onitsha , Porrt Harcourt or Warri and make such inflammatory, nonsensical statement?
I know that the revered members of Aba Sports Club will not allow Mr Alex Otti to gleefully destroy the harmony and conviviality in Aba by his reckless political gymnastics.
Anything that will destabilize the peace in Aba will destabilize trade and investment in the entire South East and Nigeria.
I, therefore wish to alert His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu and all the security Agencies of this seed of discord which is being sown in Abia so that they can act quickly to prevent the consequences of Mr Alex Otti ‘s thoughtless policy of divide and rule.
A stitch in time saves nine.
