Abia State woman political leader and activist lady Jane Ogbauta popularly known as Mama Aba has called on the women of Abam Onyerubi Women to continue with their support of Rt. Hon Uko Nkole, the member Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency in the green chambers of the National Assembly as a reward for effective representation of his constituency.
Mama Aba drummed the support for the honorable member during a meeting between Hon. Uko Nkole and the women of Abam Onyerubi held at Abam central school field on the 24th December, 2021. She adduced that the honorable member has gone beyond his legislative duties and is now performing Executive functions by providing basic infrastructure around the 26 Villages of Abam. She called on the women to unanimously support the honorable in any of his political aspiration and ventures as a leader who always has the interest of his people at heart especially the women.
In his response, Hon. Uko Nkole expressed his profound gratitude to the women of Abam for always heeding to his call and galvanize support for him. He enunciated his achievements to the women in his sojourn at the federal house of representatives. Some of the achievements he highlighted includes; ensuring young people are a gainfully employed, to attracting projects – schools, roads, water schemes, solar powered Street Lights etc. He called on the women to remain steadfast in their support for him as he is poised to do more.
Mama Aba distribute food items to the women to enable them celebrate the yuletide .Some of the items distributed includes; Bags of Rice, Cartons of Indomie, Wrappers etc.
