Earlier today, the factional Chairman of the APC, Hon. Iheanacho Obioma paid a solidarity visit to the leadership and members of Isiala Ngwa South chapter of the party at the party Secretariat, Omoba. This visit was earlier preceded by a court proceeding where the Abia State High Court sitting in Aba refused a Preliminary Objection filed by the Hon. Ikechi Emenike faction against the Iheanacho Faction as reported by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER. The Court had held that an action of a political party that violates the fundamental right of its members as well as an affront on its own constitution cannot be said to be a family matter that can oust the jurisdiction of the Hon. Court
The lead counsel of the applicant in the suit and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Etigwe Uwa in his presentation at the proceeding had vehemently contended that the serial actions of the Respondents which included taking steps to elect another Chairman and attempting to swear him in is tantamount to contempt of Court and must not be allowed to stand. He implored the court to invoke its coercive power of saction to stop the respondents from further disparage of the orders of the Hon. Court. The case was subsequently adjourned to Wednesday, 23rd of February 2022 for hearing of all applications.
Speaking at the solidarity visit of Hon Obioma at the Isiala Ngwa South party Secretariat, a Chieftain of the party and former National Assembly Candidate in the 2019 General election, Oracle Nwala, mni emphasized that what is at stake is interest of the people of Abia State as a whole and must be resolved in the interest of Abians. He sternly frowned at the actions of meddlesome interloper who are bent on distorting facts and the interest of Abia APC by hijacking the party structure through undemocratic means. He advised member of the Party in Isiala Ngwa South to remain steadfast noting the justice will eventually prevail for the generality of ndi Abia.
In his remarks. Hon Obioma informed that all the leaders of the party are on the same page on the issue without any dissenting voice. He called on the people to remain resolute and united in their resolve to restore normalcy in the party.
The solidarity visit ended in a brief reception at the country home of Hon. Oracle Nwala, mni
