Ikpeazu Sacks His Political Appointees, Gives Order To Accountant General

Less than two months to his handover of executive powers, the incumbent governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has sacked all his political appointees.

A statement released on Thursday, March 30 and signed by Barrister Chris Ezem, Secretary to Abia State Government, said the affected appointees include; Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers and Technical Officers.

Governor Ikpeazu also directed the Accountant General of the state to ensure that the affected persons are paid their stipends for the month of March, immediately.

The statement read;

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate dissolution of all Political appointees in the State.

Those affected include; Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Advisers and Technical Officers.

The Governor further directs the State Accountant General to ensure immediate payment of March,2023 stipends to all the appointees.

The Governor thanked them for their contributions and services to the State and wish them well in their future endeavors.
