The ex-Governor of Abia state and Senator-elect for the Abia North Senatorial district, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has said that he has capacity to win in any senatorial district in Abia state.

Dr Kalu made this known while speaking with journalists after he visited the federal medical Centre For his routine medical checkup.

In his words Dr Kalu said “I am here to see my Doctor for my routine check up after my surgery in Germany. The experts here are one of the best in the country, and I have come to do my regular check up after the campaigns and subsequently the election.

“You know I am not one of those people who hide their medical condition from their people. Although I am hale and hearty, I have come to be properly checked.”

On his electoral victory, Dr Orji Kalu said, “God has through the people spoken, and I have accepted their mandate, It is a big task ahead and a job I will be committed to doing”.

When told that his opponent, the incumbent senator, Dr Mao Ohuabunwa, has rejected the results, he said, “He was there when I was declared the winner why didn’t he protest there. I saw him there. When they claimed they won in 2015, I accepted the result. If he is not comfortable let him go to court and allow the judicial system decide.”

“I can tell you authoritatively that anywhere, in any senatorial district I contest in as a senator, I will win; I will defeat T. A Orji in Abia central, and any other person in Abia South” Dr Kalu said.

While receiving goodwill from the people, Dr Orji Kalu did not fail to also dole out some welfare to patients  in the hospital before leaving.
