How Supreme Court Caught Fire Today | READ DETAILS
Some sections of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, have been gutted by fire, suspected to have been caused by an electric fault.
According to the spokesperson of the court, Akande Festus, the fire outbreak which started on Monday morning when workers were already in their offices, affected only the judges’ chamber of the court.
Festus in an interview with Arise News, monitored by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER (AFNEWS), said the damages done was not much as workers were able to quench the fire with fire extinguishers before it could spread.
He revealed that only computers and hardcopy documents were affected, however, the documents are replaceable as there are E-copies.
He assured that the fire outbreak has nothing to do with the presidential election petitions filed by the PDP/Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party/Peter Obi.
No casualty have been recorded as at the time AFNEWS filed this report.
