Group Urges Nigerians To Work Towards Tinubu’s Enthronement

Tinubu Renaissance For Unity and Sustainable Transformation (TRUST) group has urged Nigerians to work towards enthronement of Tinubu to succeed His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari as the next President of Nigeria.

TRUST which was established in June, 2021 had participated in the maiden meeting of the Tinubu Support Group on 23rd October, 2021 at TSG office, No. 2, Kainji Street, off Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.

Speaking during the inuaguration, the Director General of TRUST, Dr. Yakubu Ugwolawo informed the newly inaugurated members that the operations of the organisation would bring forth the realization of the ordinary and philosophical meanings of the words to justify the distinctiveness of the organisation amongst the hordes of support groups for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s Presidential bid.

Speaking on Buhari’s achievement which Tinubu will continue, Yakubu said that apart from reconditioning and redirecting the country’s socioeconomic and infrastructural trends, he has been able to put the electoral processes on sound footing, with the enactment of the 2022 Electoral Act.

“Most loopholes, which aided electoral malpractices of greater proportion in the past had been sealed. The President and APC should be hailed and commended for the courage and forthrightness to enhance credibility, fairness and transparency in the country’s electoral system.

“The party’ government under President Muhammadu Buhari has handed over measurable dictum for electoral victory or otherwise to the electorate” he said.

He further stated that onus should be with APC to work with the people, wherever they mighty be to become the beneficiary of the reformed electoral potency and build on the current efforts of Mr. President for posterity, instead of allowing other parties to benefit and later bastardize the process.

He called on members to gird their loins for the tasks ahead in the forthcoming elections. APC should not be a victim, owing to lackadaisical attitude towards effective Mobilisation of the electorate.

Yakubu therefore presented the format of the organisational structure of TRUST, which has National PATRONS/TRUSTEES, National Directorate, Zonal Consultative Committee, State Directorate, Senatorial District Mobilisation Committee, Local Government Area Directorate, Ward Directorate and Polling Unit Volunteer Corps. He added that Mobilisation Modules will be issued within a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile Members of the National Directorate (both present and absent) were formally inaugurated by the National Patron, Elder (Chief) John Ode.

A Committee to draw up Workplan and Time Frame, which would tally with the INEC, APC and Presidential Campaign Council programmes, was constituted with the following as members:

1. Chief J. O. Yusuf – Asst Director General, Administration – Chairman
2. Chief Levi Ezeorah, Assistant Director General, Finance and Accounts – Member
3. Comr. Mohammed Yunusa, Director, Planning, Research and Strategy – Member/Secretary
4. Dr. Matthew Keyi, Director, Inter-groups Liaison Services – Member
Dr. Mrs. Fatima Osang Joshua, Deputy Director, Inter – Groups Liaison Services – Member
5. Alhaji Abdulrahaman Mustapha, Assist. Director General, Youth Affairs, Member
6. Mrs Adetutu Ogundele, Assist. Director General, Women Affairs, Member
7. Mr. Salisu Musa Ibrahim, Director, Media/Publicity- Member
8. Barr. Bilyamin

He committed the Directors to the hands of God and urged them to discharge their duties with the fear of God. In addition, he called on them to be prepared for the hazards that characterize political campaigns and be resolute in propagating the ideals of Asiwaju’s Presidency, which would put Nigeria on the same pedestal with her peers.
