Abia YPP Guber Candidate, Nana’s Messages Are Original – Media Aide Refutes Claims

 

The Young Progressives Party (YPP), Gubernatorial candidate in Abia state, Engineer Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor (Nana), has stated that his campaign messages are original as against allegations of copying a particular counterpart of his.

 

Responding to the allegation, Ben Udechukwu, media aide to Nana described it as unfortunate, unfounded and self -defeating.

 

The aide maintained that the media campaign organization of Nana had developed over 17, 345 messages to be released in batches and as such, the YPP Candidate cannot be said to be copying the messages of others.

 

The statement read partly;

 

We have read in different media of communication the very unfortunate, unfounded and self- defeating statement that one of our campaign messages were the exact words of a certain Governorship Candidate.

Engr. Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor (Nana) consulted your candidate before January 2022. Like Nana had told everybody, he had taken nearly seven years to prepare for the task of being Governor of Abia State. He has answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) including how he would tackle the challenge of non – payment of salaries; gratuities and pensions.

As at August 2, 2021, when your candidate never ever imagined that he would be railroaded to contest for Governorship, Nana had mentioned to a group of Abians how he intended to pay arrears of salaries. Sometime in March 2022, Nana addressed a selected group of Abia Professionals in a meeting organised by Dr. Chima Anyaso (now Nana’s Deputy Governorship Candidate) in Lagos.

Do I need to tell you that Nana spoke glowingly to that August gathering how he would crash cost of governance to ensure regular payment of salaries? Find out where your candidate was at the time. Nana knows the State Government’s exposure to debts regarding salaries, gratuities and pensions. He took time to study these issues not guess work. As at 2016, Nana had paid a group of Consultants money to do a survey of houses and properties in Aba. Nana knows how many junctions in Abia that would be critical to delivering safe environment. Nana knows essential kilometers of roads to give us vibrant rural communities and working township.

It is rather unfortunate that somebody who is not prepared is accusing the person who is prepared of copying him. How absurd, preposterous and celebration of monumental ignorance to ever imagine that a Nana/Ofuji Media Campaign that had developed 17,345 messages to be released in batches would be said to be copying another that is operating on make shift and clandestine guess work.
