A group under the aegis of Arochukwu Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative, has lauded Honorable Dr. Mike Ukoha, the Minority Whip and member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, in the Abia House of Assembly, for attracting Agricultural Inputs to them from FADAMA, a World Bank Assisted Project in Agriculture.
The farmers expressed gratitude to the lawmaker during the disbursement of farming inputs to their members in Arochukwu.
Speaking, the Coordinator of the group, Mazi Innocent Okoroji, hinted that the group has received a lot of assistance, through Honorable Dr. Mike Ukoha.
He stated that 13 people will be benefiting from cassava inputs, adding that the group has benefited in fishery management, rice and other agricultural inputs from FADAMA.
He thanked Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, for his immense assistance and for organising a Financial Management Training, for business owners which enabled him to receive a huge loan from the Bank for his agricultural businesses.
Also Speaking, the FADAMA facilitator Arochukwu Local Government Area, Mr. Chinedum Okoroafor, thanked the lawmaker and Okoroji, for their commitment towards the welfare of the farmers and ensuring that they benefit from government intervention programmes.
Responding, the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, who was represented by Hon. Achibe Dike, recalled that he has done a lot in agriculture through his many intervention programmes, including the CBN/NIRSAL Micro Finance Bank programme, agricultural management training, etc.
He thanked FADAMA for always giving him a listening ears each time he made a request and promised to continue to partner with them for the betterment of his constituency.
The Lawmaker also thanked farmers in Arochukwu LGA for not relenting in what they do, stressing that the society depends on them to produce adequate food supply.
One of the recipient, Miss Esther Okereke, thanked the Lawmaker and FADAMA for making the inputs available to them.
