#EndSARS: It is time to carry the youths along in leadership of this nation – Chris Igwe

Isuochi-born philanthropist and oil magnet Prince Chris Odinaka Igwe has advised governments both at the national level, state level and local government level that it is time to carry the youths along in leadership so that the mistrust between the current leaders and the youths can be bridged.

 

He revealed that the challenge faced by the nation today is because the youths have lost trust in the leadership of the nation which is as a result of being left behind and lack of proper engagement.

He advised government at all levels to immediately create more engagement platforms for the youth, create more sustainable empowerment projects for the youths and allow more youths to get involved in leadership.

 

“Youths have to be more involved in leadership, more sustainable empowerment programme must be created and leadership at all levels must be more responsive to yearnings and complains of the youths. This is practically the way to go now if indeed we went to reduce this anarchy we experienced few days ago”

On the non partisan town hall meeting called by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, he had this to say;

 

“It is timely, very very timely. It is time for ndi Abia to sit down and discuss issues about our state. Did you not see the destruction witness in the state? The people need to talk to themselves and look for solutions to this issue. The governor has done absolutely well”

“I must also commend the governor for immediately setting up the judicial panel of enquirer as regards the #EndSARS protest and i observed that a lot youths were involved. I must say that is the way to go” he concluded.
