KIDNAPPING IN ABIA COMMUNITY: ISUIKWUATO LGA BOSS PROMISES BETTER SECURITY

THE TESTIMONY OF ONE OF THE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS RELEASED YESTERDAY.

Good morning my good people, once again I want to thank you all for your concerns, may I use this opportunity to give us little information as regards to the kidnapping incident and the ordeal we went through as one the victims, first and formost,we should all be security concsious this period especially along that site because according to these headsman, they said there targets is mainly politicians and those plying that routs with flashy/cars though they always communicate with house language which I don’t understand but one of them leaked the secret to us almost when there where about to release us because by them, my elder brother that came with the ransom was on his way, the main story of how it all happened, we were coming back from isuikwuto after we had our meeting so on getting to that spot where we have diversion, just at the middle of the road, the next thing we heard Is gunshots and we could not run faster due to the bad road before we could jump out of the car, they have already surrounded us about 7 of them in number fully armed with guns and matches, so they immediately took us to the bush after they collected our phones and my wallet,we walked for like 4hrs inside the bush before we got a place the y now asked us to sit down gave us back our phones and asked us to start calling our people, initially they demand for ransom of 100m according to them they said to go for high/prominent people in the society and that they don’t collect anything less than 30/20m,but when we were making calls ND they heard the kind of money our people are mentioning to bring, they continued flogging and beating us with their matches ,the worst is that they don’t want to hear u plead with them even those men they were busy beating us treating to kill and drop our bodies along the road for people if they fail to pay the ransom, they continue moving us from one bush to the other so that no matter how, nobody can dictate our location, lastly on Wednesday night around 1 am they heard the beating of the gong though I don’t know from the particular village so they were asking us what it is for whether the community wants to gather so by that time they took us around the bush moving from one place to another till the next morning we got to a particular spot again they ask us to sleep and when we woke up they switched on our phones again that we should call our people again and know how much they have gathered because they said is our last day to be alive, to the glory of God in the evening, they now asked that the whole money be gathered and give to one person, why my brother was about coming with the money, they told him to buy them rice#2000,meat#500 then 2 packets of Cigarette,by then we were coming out through the pipeline routs we now heard the noise of vehicles movement, honestly to us we taught we are still in isuikwuato not knowing we are at onuaku uturu because my brother was already on bike coming to isuikwato they ask him to turn back and come to onuaku, behold he got there with the money and others and they collected it just opposite the SARS office at onuaku there and we were released,so to sum it up, we need to be at alert at all times because from what they said they made us understand that they are on that road 24/7 but they monitor people’s movement and the kind of vehicles the stop especially flashy cars because they believe those people will pay them good ransom,i want to call on our government to as a matter of urgency mobilize a strong security outfit to be on checkpoints and patrol along that road if possible a permanent security should be assigned to be there because nobody knows whose is gonna be the next victim but we don’t pray for such anymore because is an experience nobody will like to have in his/entire life the torture was much and we almost said our last prayers but mercy of God said know that we still live to give the testimonies, once again I want to in a special way thank everyone for your quick intervention in seeing that we came back alive to the glory of God…
