Court Extends Detention Of Nurse, Mohbad’s Friend, Issues Warning Over Naira Marley, Sam Larry
The auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe and Ayobani Sadiq, friend to late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, A.K.A Mohbad, will remain in police custody till further notice, owing to an order of a Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos state.
Recall that 37-year-old Ogedengbe is said to have injected Mohbad which led to his death.
Ruling on Monday, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ordered that the nurse and Mohbad’s friend be returned to police custody, while Naira Marley and Sam Larry who all have cases to answer over Mohbad’s death, were granted bail.
ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that the duo were granted bail to the tune of N20million with three sureties in like sum.
The magistrate however, admonished that no one should contact her directly over the duo’s case, warning that she would record such call and play it in court.
“The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” the magistrate said.
The matter was adjourned till November 29 for Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) advice.
