“The Chris Odinaka Igwe Foundation is set to award IT scholarships to students from Isuochi, fostering the next generation of tech leaders. The program emphasizes merit-based selection and aims to support educational development within the community.”
The Chris Odinaka Igwe Foundation, renowned for its dedication to cultivating Information Technology (IT) expertise, is set to award scholarships to deserving students from the Isuochi community. This initiative aims to support 2 qualified applicants from each of the 9 clans within Isuochi for a 4-5 year university or tertiary education program in IT.
According to information received by ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, the selection process will commence with an initial interview conducted via Zoom. Candidates who pass this stage will then participate in a written examination and aptitude test to determine the final scholarship recipients.
The foundation plans to extend the scholarships to additional candidates, including 2 from the Amuda Clan and 5 from outside Isuochi, making a total of 25 beneficiaries. The selection will be strictly based on merit, and students from SS2 to SS3 are encouraged to apply through the foundation’s website: www.coifoundation.com.
Prince (Dr.) Chris Odinaka Igwe, OFR, the benefactor of the foundation, views this scholarship program as a vital component of his Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and a way to give back to his beloved community. He envisions this initiative as a means to nurture the next generation of IT leaders, akin to the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs, emerging from Isuochi.
