The Women for Change Initiative and Equity Organization led by Lady Jane Ogbauta has empowered a lot of women from Abia South Senatorial District as part of the organizations effort to make them self reliance.
Among the things distributed to some of the women from Aba North, Aba South, Ugwunagbo, Obingwa and Osisioma include a hair drying machine, wrapper, grinding machine as well as sewing machine etc.
Speaking at the recreational Centre Aba during the event, the convener/Cordinator of the organization Lady Jane Ogbauta explained that it was due to the outcry of Abia Women whom have been suffering as a result of bad government and hard times in the society, that motivated her to establish Women for Change Initiative and Equity Organization on the 5th of December 2015 to carter for their well being.
Lady Jane Ogbanta further stated that this round of empowerment is for the women of Abia South, stressing that after that, Abia North and Central will also be empowered in various skills, businesses and financial grants as a way of settling the women.
The Cordinator went further to say that that Non Governmental Organization will not relent until Abia State is back on track and listed some of the organization’s challenges to include finance, logistics and many other things needed, pointing out that her family has been the only one sponsoring the organization for years, while thanking those who have assisted in one way or the other to the organization, she called on all Abia women to always learn to assist their fellow women.
In his opening remark, the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Prince Adikachianya expressed delight on the empowerment initiatives of the Lady Jane Ogbanta, saying that God has brought her to wipe away tears from the eyes of Abia women.
He harped on the need for woment to learn to help one another as exemplified by the initiator of the organization, saying that such is a welcome development.
Also speaking, Comrade Nduoma Okoroafor who represented the Minister of State for Mines and Steels Development Hon. Sampson Ogah, thanked the Cordinator of the Organization, urging her not to relent as the wife of the President Hajia Aisha Buhari is gradually pushing for the voice of Nigerian women to be heard.
He stated that Hon. Dr. Sampson Ogah will be ever willing to assist the organization in which ever way at all times, adding that he will convey their requests to him and urged the organization not to relent in its good works.
Highlight during the event is the unveiling of the Organizations Magazine which was able done by the Chairman of the occasion among other side attractions.
