Abia LP Chairman, Ceekay Igara Receives Ugwunagbo Stakeholders, Charge Them On Synergy
The newly elected executives of Labour Party stakeholders in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, were on Tuesday, presented to the state chairman of the party, Mr Ceekay Igara.
Presenting the executives, the Ugwunagbo Labour Party Chairman, Emeka Nosike Ihesiaba, informed the chairman and members of the state Working Committee that the duo of Chief Innocent Nwogwugwu (stakeholders chairman) and Hon. John Onwunle (Secretary), were duly elected by members of the party in Ugwunagbo.
Receiving them, the state chairman, Mr Ceekay Igara admonished that the stakeholders are expected to uphold the hands of the functionaries to grow the party and not usurp the powers of the Local Government chairman.
Igara charged Ugwunagbo Stakeholders to uphold peace, obey hierarchy and ensure that they synergize with the party leadership to grow the Labour Party.
“We (Labour Party) want to set a very good standard for others. All we want is a good synergy; support the party in your Local Government level and the state” Igara admonished.
Responding Chief Innocent Nwogwugwu, expressed gratitude to the people of Ugwunagbo for electing him as stakeholders chairman, assuring that he will discharge his duties diligently and also ensure inclusiveness.
Nwogwugwu pledged his loyalty and support to the Labour Party, noting that “party is our interest first”.
He added; “Anything good we can do to grow Labour Party, we will do it to the best of our ability”.
Speaking earlier, the deputy chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Sunny Onwuma, likened the emergence of Chief Innocent Nwogwugwu and Hon. John Onwunle to the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ, stating that the entrance of the duo “is a big relief to the party”.
Onwuma expressed optimism that the emergence of the duo will be a great blessing to Ugwunagbo and Labour Party at large.
He also pledged total support to the state chairman, Mr Ceekay Igara, stating that ” we are going to follow you; we are going to be your pillar”.
On his own part, Honourable Sir Emmanuel Nwaeze Otti, the Abia State Zonal Party Chairman, Labour Party pledged that they will support the stakeholders to move the party forward.
Others present during the presentation include; Chief Kenneth N. Ananaba, state auditor of the party; Honourable Udo Ihediwa, State Youth leader, among others.
