Abia ISWA Commissions New Building, Holds End Of Year Meeting, Award presentation
The Abia INEC Staff Welfare Association Commissioned a new staff welfare building during their 2023 End of the year general meeting and award presentation.
The Chairman of the association, Mazi Eze Collins Dick who emerged as the newly elected chairman unopposed for his second term in office, applauded his colleagues for the support and encouragement in making the 2 years in office a success with different achievements.
In his address, Mazi Eze highlighted his achievement and development in office as a fulfillment of his promises during his inaugural speech in 2021, Some of the achievements reeled out includes; amendment of the association constitution to pave way for the increase in finance to fund the Association, the construction of N3.5 million administrative office with convenience, store and a meetings hall inside the INEC secretariat office complex and the disbursement of home renovation loan for the first batch of 50 staff.
The chairman also commiserated with the families of three illustrious colleagues Mr Uche Matthew, Mr Chima Ekwuribe and Mr. James Ohaeri who passed away during his first tenure and appreciated colleagues for successful burial that was well attended and supported by the members of the association, he prayed that God continue to comfort their families.
The highlight of the annual general meeting was presentation of awards, distribution of food items to over 300 members of the association to celebrate the Christmas season and the general elections.
Two members were honored with Outstanding Members of the Association, Matins Okoro, Eke Goodwin Nnoke, and Mr. Ngene M. Ogbonnaya as Most Staff Friendly HOD
Projecting the new ISWA government, the newly elected chairman, Mazi Eze Collins Dick proposed the need of additional coaster bus to accommodate the increasing number of staff, called on prominent individuals in the state for support.
