ABIA 2023: Prof Greg Ibe Charges APGA House Of Assembly Candidates To Be Agents Of Change
The Abia state governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Professor Gregory Ibe has charged the 24 house of assembly candidates of the party to be agents of social change in their different constituencies in line with the party’s humanitarian ideology.
Speaking during a strategic consultation meeting which took place at the Professor Gregory Ibe Campaign headquarters in Umuahia, the APGA Governorship hopeful reiterated the populist agenda of the party anchored on the ‘onye aghala nwanneya’ ideology, encouraging the candidates to partner with him in touching the lives of Abians with well articulated social intervention programmes.
Decrying the current deplorable condition of road infrastructure within Abia, Professor Ibe stated that he intends to commence palliative grading of rural access roads around the state once the dry season sets in.
He encouraged the house of assembly candidates to partner with him in ensuring that critical access roads, especially those that would stimulate the business undertakings of their constituents are captured during the palliative exercise.
In their separate responses, the candidates appreciated Professor Ibe for his sacrificial approach to leadership,” which they said, has continued to manifest through the execution of several social intervention programmes”.
Particularly, they praised Professor Ibe for the successful conduct of his free medical outreach and award of university scholarship to their constituents, pledging their preparedness to partner him in extending more social intervention packages to the people.
The meeting was attended by the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Honourable Obinna Ichita, key members of Professor Gregory Ibe Campaign Organization and some APGA chieftains.
