Staff of Abia State House of Assembly, Arochukwu Local Government origin, recently visited the Minority Whip of the house, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha, as part of their effort to further unite their membership to be effective
Speaking during the visit, the leader of the group Mazi Uwaezuoke Nnaekpe explained that they were in his office to show their gratitude for his well deserve victory at the poll, hinting that as one of their own, they came to show solidarity to him adding that such was a divine thing.
He used the opportunity to call on the lawmaker to make their welfare at the Assembly, his priority so as to enable them have a sense of belonging and prayed God to see him through in his position.
Also speaking at the visit, Mrs. Mary Okoronkwo call on the Minority Whip to assist his constituents by working in liaison with his colleagues at the Federal level to attract the necessary attention that the local government deserves in terms of development, regretting that Arochukwu/Ohafia road needs an urgent attention from both the State and Federal level.
Speaking while addressing
According to the lawmaker, he said the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in Isu community will soon get relieve materials from the government, pointing that he was able to restore the security situation in the area by writing to the State Commissioner of Police to send his men there for the protection of lives and properties.
He explained that soon, there will be training of some of his constituents in confectioneries, rice farming, fishery, adding that talks are ongoing to attract investors to come and partner with the constituency in different vocation as well as empowering youths of the area.
Hon. Ukoha assured them that soon things will work out good for the benefit of all and promised them of his willingness to partner with them for the betterment of Arochukwu local government.
