AA Senatorial Candidate Steps Down For Abraham Godson, Says, He Is Most Credible
The senatorial ambition of Dr. John Abraham Godson, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Abia Central, is garnering more support with the most recent being the endorsement by his Action Alliance (AA) counterpart, Rev. Dennis Ifeanyichukwu Ubani.
Formally announcing his decision to step down and support the candidacy of Godson on Wednesday, February 9, 2023, Ubani said he reached that decision after going through Godson’s track records and his manifesto which showed that “Dr Abraham Godson is the most credible candidate among others, who is capable to represent Abia central senatorial district.”
“I willingly took the decision to relinquish my position for Honourable Dr. Abraham Godson of the African Democratic Congress”.
“in the league of the senatorial candidates, I tell you Dr John Abraham godson is the most credible and qualified” Ubani said during a press briefing at Dr Abraham Godson’s campaign office in Umuahia.
According to him, senators who have represented since 2015, have only been concerned on their personal interests not considering the interests of the masses. He expressed confidence that Godson will correct all anomalies.
“Abia state, we have been so unfortunate; we have not gotten any good senatorial person since 2015 or there about. People that represented us in Abuja, they are selfish they just go there to make money they don’t even make laws that will benefit the common man. They are just there to share the national cake. We need people like Dr John Abraham Godson to go there with his experiences and international connections to normalize all these abnormalities in the green chambers” Ubani added.
Responding, Dr Godson, appreciated Ubani for deeming it worthy to step down and queue behind him.
He called on other candidates to borrow leaf from Ubani adding that he desires visionary men like Ubani in his team.
The duo noted that the collaboration was not induced by any long term nor short term transaction agreement.
“we did not enter into any financial transaction” Ubani assured.
