2023 ABIA GUBER: Abraham Godson Endorses Alex Otti, Dumps ADC | READ IN FULL

Honourable Dr John Abraham Godson who contested for Abia Central senatorial seat in the just concluded election under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has dumped the party as he has pledged support for Dr. Alex Otti, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Abia State ahead of the March 11, 2023 election.

Honourable Godson made a formal adoption of Otti while addressing newsmen in his campaign office in Umuahia on Thursday, March 2.

According to him, he decided to support the candidacy of Otti after evaluating the political activities in the state and characters of the guber candidates and resolved that Otti is the one who can deliver among others.

He described Otti as an intelligent man with enormous experiences from the business world, a self-made man who has the interest of the people at heart.

“I have given my endorsement to the governorship candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Alex Otti.

“I see him (Alex Otti) as someone who can deliver” Godson stated.

He noted that his support for Otti is coming in a short time after the senatorial election because he wants to make a political statement before the guber election.

Godson said he has already informed the ADC governorship candidate, Bishop Sunday Onuoha of his decision and has formerly informed Otti of his support.

However, his declaration of support for Otti does not mean that he has defected to Labour Party, although he may consider that later.

He called on all Abians to consolidate around Alex Otti and vote him to become the next governor of the state.

Godson had moved with Otti from APGA to APC, he however did not move again with Otti to Labour Party rather to ADC.

Explaining why he dumped the ADC, Godson accused the party and some of the members whom he described as ‘political hustlers’ of using candidates as their cash cows and also working against the ADC candidates for oppositions.
