My good people of Arochukwu Constituency,
I believe you all must have been expecting my ‘Thank You’ letter before now.
I was actually and anxiously waiting to receive my Certificate of Return from the electoral umpire before releasing my ‘Thank You’ Letter. The certificate was presented to me on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. I dedicate the certificate to you all for trusting in me.
You will agree with me that through out the periods of campaigns down to the election day to be exact, what is in the public domain, especially from the good People of Arochukwu State Constituency is the desire for a peaceful electoral process and that has been my watchword ever since.
Elections in Arochukwu State Constituency before now have never reflected the wishes of the masses and such made many people from the Constituency to begin to wonder whether a time would come when their votes will indeed count.
Those period remained a time when our people began to develop political apathy in exercising their civic rights, it was a time when lukewarm attitudes and doubt was the order of the day.
But I am happy that those indifferences which seemed to have held us down and wrongly dictated a political calculation against us were put to rest on March 9th, 2019, which resulted in the overwhelming victory we all recorded in the course of the election.
I know that such was made possible because of the dogged determination, tenacity and audacity which you all showed toward the attainment of an unassailable victory, I thank you all most sincerely.
The down casting and crestfallen mood of our people during the election, really showed that we needed change, even when I approached my Polling Booth to exercise my own franchise, the mood of the people almost pushed me to tears. But I thank God that our resolution to get it right this time yielded tremendous result.
Let me begin by saying thank you to everyone especially my fellow contestants for putting up a good fight. I am happy that I have extended a good hands of fellowship to you all through my calls, please let us be reminded that Arochukwu Local Government belongs to every one of us and we have to jointly make it great once again. I hope you will all partner with me to move it forward and because we are people with good conscience and great content, we will make our Arochukwu Constituency great again.
