Dino Melaye Tackles Wike For Pledging Logistics Support For Peter Obi
Senator Dino Melaye the Spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Management Committee, has questioned the justice in Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State’s clamour for Iyorchia Ayu to resign as the party’s national chairman for equity.
Melaye who was reacting to Wike’s pledge to provide all campaign logistics for Mr Peter Obi the Labour Party presidential candidate in Rivers state, argued that majority of key positions of the Labour Party are occupied by the southerners, questioning the sincerity of Wike who is advocating for positions to be fairly shared in PDP.
Dino Melaye on his Facebook page on Saturday wrote;
Two days ago during Peter Obi’s visit in PH, Wike of rivers state, stated that he would give Peter Obi support during presidential election.
In labour party, their National party chairman is from South.
Presidential candidate is from South.
Their DG is from South. And majority of their national positions are being held by southerners.
So where is the justice Governor Wike is talking about. Time to reunite with your family my brother. Atiku is the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the grace of God.
Recall that Wike fell out with the leadership of the PDP after their presidential primary where Atiku Abubakar emerged as the presidential candidate. Wike has continued to call on Ayu to resign as chairman on the grounds that the party cannot have key positions being occupied by northerners alone leaving out those from the southern part.
