2023: No Other Candidate Has The Pedigree Of Uche Ogah – Abia Rejoice Movement
A political group, Abia Rejoice Movement, has thrown their weight behind Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, a former minister of states for mines and steels who was yesterday, declared the authentic governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State.
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia during a mini rally to celebrate the court verdict in favour of Ogah on Friday, Sir Joshua Nnanyerem Ogbonna, director for Media and Publicity, Abia Rejoice Movement, stated that no other gubernatorial candidate in the state can measure up with Ogah whom according to him, has shown capacity and commitment towards a better Abia.
“No other candidate has the pedigree or capacity of Uche Ogah. “None of them has invested like Ogah. He has invested so much, that means he has confidence in Abia; he has Abia people at heart” he said.
Ogbonna lauded the judiciary for its judgement, adding that it has proven to be the last hope of the common man.
“the saying that the judiciary is the hope of the common man; today it has been justified. The high and mighty did all they could to scuttle the victory of Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah ably earned during the last primaries, and the judiciary said no and having said no, God has concurred and Abia has been liberated”.
According to him APC has been in tatarsh but with the affirmation of Ogah as the governorship candidate, “APC has become one solid organisation, ready to take over power with Uchechukwu Ogah driving the vehicle”.
He stated that Abians have been suffering for long adding that Abia cannot be compared with other states in the federation in terms of backwardness ” but with the coming of Ogah it will be different” he added.
Ogbonna also appealed to Abians to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and exercise their franchise at the 2023 polls.
ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja, held that Ogah remains the authentic candidate of the party in Abia state.
Controversy have been trailing on who the authentic gubernatorial candidate of the APC is after they held a parallel primary election. Ogah emerged as the candidate through a direct primary election while High Chief Ikechi Emenike emerged also from an indirect primary.
However, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in October published the name of Emenike as the governorship candidate of Abia APC following an appeal court judgement affirming the judgement of a high court in Abia state.
