A former Isuikwuato Local Government Area chairmanship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last LGA election in Abia State, Comrade Chris Afulike has refuted the claim from some quarters in Anambra state that he is an All Progressives Congress (APC) member.
In a press release made available to ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER, Chris Afulike revealed that he has never being an APC member and wondered why political desperate people will label him one.
Chris Afulike went further to state that his political relationship with Rt. Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha ended even before she joined the APC and ever since then he has remained a PDP member, contributing his quota towards the growth of the party and even contested for the post of a local government chairman in the last LGA election in 2019.
“It is pathetic that because of politics people can blackmail other party members just to get undue advantage against others. I am a full PDP member and have remain so over the years despite all political conditions”
“My political relationship with Rt. Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha PhD ended even before she joined APC, so it is disappointing why people will link me to her just because of my nomination as part of a panel to conduct PDP primaries in Anambra State”
“I “Chris Afulike” use this medium to call on leadership of our dear party the PDP and urge them to disregard that allegation. Instead, the party can investigate why calling the Chairman of PDP in Abia State and leaders of the party in the state and get the true information” he concluded.
