An Abia born oil magnet and Founder/CEO at Strides Energy & Maritime Ltd, Chief Moritz Abazie (Onwa 1 of Isingwu Ohuhu), has donated a brand new 50 KVA Power Generator to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State.
The business Mogul made an official handover of the Generator at the party state Secretariat, Finbarrs road, Umuahia on Friday, March 4, 2022.
Speaking, Moritz noted that he was not supporting the party for any political ambition, rather he is a man who has zeal for good governance and the betterment of the people.
He lauded the PDP and it’s executives, charging them to work harder even as 2023 election approaches.
Moritz noted that there is need for sentiments to be erased and a trusted, qualified candidate be projected for Abia governance.
“ If we cannot get it right from a party, we cannot get it right.
” We want a good Abia state that will be among the best states in Nigeria” Moritz charged.
He assured the party that he will continue to support them.
Earlier in his remark, the state chairman, PDP, Rt. Hon. Allwell Asiforo Okere described Moritz as a friend who is likeable, hardworking and always eager to show support to the party, his constituents and others.
The chairman noted that Moritz coming with members of his Isingwu Ohuhu constituents, shows that he is in good terms with his people.
“He falls in the category of people that carry their people along. The party will remain grateful for this particular gesture. Be rest assured that this party is for Isingwu Ohuhu people” Okere stated.
Giving a vote of thanks, the commissioner for Finance in the state, Dr. Aham Uko described Moritz as a man who is selfless and craves for good things.
” Moritz is an unassuming young man who craves for good things. He is somebody that is selfless and always desires good governance.
The commissioner lauded him for his gesture, calling on other well meaning Abians to borrow leaf.
Highlight of the event was the handover of the generator set from Moritz to the PDP Chairman in the presence of Isingwu ward members, PDP executives, among others.
