The Nigerian Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has re-assured Nigerians that efforts are still in place to win the fight agains covid 19.
The NCDC Director General Chike Ihekweazu, in his twitter handle said that state public Health teams are coordinating across sample collection sites, labs, treatment centres and their emergency operations centres everyday.
This he said, is to ensure that testing continues, people access care early and to enable the agency get the right data to take action and to update Nigerians.
According to chike; “so many state public health teams supported by their governments, have shown great leadership in Nigeria’s covid 19 response from setting up new treatment centres for infectious diseases, to risk communicunications and driving, a sometimes difficult but critical contact tracing system.
He applauded the efforts of medical personnels across states, noting that there are more work to do to win the deadly disease, covid 19; ” our work is not over, but we deeply appreciate the efforts of our colleagues working extremely hard across states.”
“there is much work for us to do with covid 19 response activities but more importantly, in developing sustainable structures for subnational health security.”
