The Managing Director, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Microfinance Bank in Abia State, Kingsley Chijioke Nwobilor on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, featured on the AFTELEVISION interview Programme ‘Focal Point’.
The SME Bank boss lauded the efforts of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu towards the growth and sustenance of the institution which is his brain child.

According to Nwobilor, the bank which was officially launched in 2019 by the governor, has three loan packages running currently for customers.
The packages include;
- Easy Credit Scheme (soft loan) for existing business owners with a low interest rate of 9%.
- Thrift Credit Scheme (Daily Savings) for tricycle operators and other business men and women.
- Diaspora Investment Account- which allows people in the Diaspora to provide money which business owners can leverage on to expand their businesses, make profit and pay back.
Nwobilor explained that the scheme is for both Abians and residents of Abia who have an account with the SME Bank and also has a verifiable business.
According to him, the Bank is working to expand and automate the bank so as to reach all the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia state for easy access to funds.
The Abia SME Microfinance bank is located at no. 17b Ngwa road, Aba and a cash point located at Abia Investment House, Umuahia.
