33-Year-Old Man Caught Extracting Parts From Corpse In Osun | READ IN FULL
33-Year-Old truck repairer, one Afeez Odusanya, have been apprehended by operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps for allegedly pulling out the teeth of a corpse.
According to the Commander of the Corps, Mr. Amitolu Shittu, the suspect who is resident in Sagamu, Ogun state, was caught in the act in a cemetery in Ilesa, Osun.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday while the suspect was being paraded alongside others, Shittu said he had claimed to be a herbalist. He however confessed that he exhumes corpses, extract their parts for money ritual.
According to Shittu, 12 teeth, two finger bones were recovered from the suspect after his arrest.
Fielding questions from journalists, Odusanya confessed to have indulged in exhuming corpses from cemeteries for ritual purposes since 2016. However, he has failed after several trials.
“I was caught after I exhumed a corpse at a burial ground in Ilesa which I wanted to use for money ritual. I have been exhuming corpses since 2016 and removing their parts for money ritual, but the rites failed”.
“I exhumed corpses at Sagamu, Ogun State, but was caught in Osun while trying to remove the teeth of a corpse. It used to take me about 30 minutes to remove a tooth from a corpse. But after some time, it takes me lesser time because I mastered it.”
The suspects would be handed over to the Osun command of the Department of State Services (DSS), for prosecution.
