It was a solemn return to his roots over the weekend as Hon. Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, Abia State National Assembly Liaison Officer, paid emotional condolence visits to two grieving families in Bende Local Government Area. The visits were part of his continued demonstration of solidarity and compassion for his people in both times of joy and sorrow.
At Ndagbo Eluoma Uzuakoli, Hon Chinasa joined the Nnochiri Oriaku family to mourn the passing of Mr. Peter Nnochiri — a beloved brother, friend, and respected community member. Speaking during the funeral rites, Hon. Chinasa described the deceased as a man whose absence “creates a void and vacuum which will be difficult to fill and a silence that transcends words.”
He urged the grieving family to draw strength from the cherished memories they shared with the late Peter and take solace in the overwhelming display of support from the community. “In moments like these, our grief also serves to remind us of the strength and unity that bind us together as a people,” Chinasa stated.
The condolence mission continued at Umuamankwo Amaediaba Nkpa, where Hon. Chinasa visited the Onyebilachi Ibeh family to commiserate with them on the loss of their mother, Mrs. Chijiago Victoria Ndubuisi. In his address, he noted that the late matriarch lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. “Her legacy will live on in the lives she touched, and the family she nurtured,” he said.
Hon. Chinasa’s presence and words of comfort brought warmth to the mourning hearts, reaffirming his deep-rooted connection to the people of Bende. The visits also served as an opportunity for the Liaison Officer to reconnect personally with his constituents and reiterate his unwavering support for their welfare.
With empathy and grace, Hon. Chinasa’s actions continue to exemplify servant leadership, even in moments of mourning — reminding all that leadership transcends politics and governance and extends into genuine human connection.
