Biafra Nations League( BNL), has dared men of the Nigerian Army and other security outfit, to launch operations against its member in the Bakassi Pennisula.
This is in reaction to the recent killing of the Eastern Security Network, (ESN) commander, Ikonso in a joint Operation by the Nigerian Army and Department of State Security (DSS), on Saturday.
The Chief Head of Operations, BNL, Henry Edet, in a statement on Monday, said; “the Nigeria Securities will see something different if they touch any officer of the BNL especially in Bakassi Peninsula.”
It added that the Nigerian security operatives will “face consuming fire.”
BNL said it condemned the actions of the military, adding that “the situation in the entire Eastern Region will worsen.”
The group, however, said that they “won’t attack securities unless they attack us”, adding that “members of [our] Militia wing already signed their death warrant and are not afraid of attacks from security agencies.”
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has confirmed the replacement of Ikonso.
This was revealed by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emmanuel Powerful in an interview with Channels TV on Sunday.
Powerful however, did not disclose the name of the new commander.
