Why Dokpesi Was Arrested At Heathrow Airport – UK Police | READ DETAILS

The Metropolitan Police has reacted to an incident that happened on Sunday at the Heathrow Airport, London which raised concern.

ALL FACTS NEWSPAPER had reported that Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the founder of DAAR Communications Plc, who had on Sunday, arrived via Frankfurt from Abuja on a Lufthansa airlines flight encountered a little delay as he was invited off the plan by the UK Police.

A statement released by DAAR management on Monday, said he was released after some hours. According to the management, Dokpesi is in London on the invite of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). READ HERE

Dokpesi is the Deputy Director-General, Technical & Systems of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council.

Responding to an inquiry mail on Dokpesi’s arrest/detention sent to it by PUNCH, the Met Police who did not mention Chief Raymond Dokpesi in their response, said they arrested a 71-year-old man at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of rap-e which occurred in August 2019.

The mail read;

“On Sunday, 8 January, a 71-year-old man was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of rape. The arrest relates to an allegation of rape in August 2019. The man has been bailed, pending further enquiries, to a date in early April. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Please, note that we don’t confirm the identity of any person who has been arrested but not charged.”

Speaking also to PUNCH on the matter, a source in DAAR Communication said,

“Rape! It’s not possible. I am not in the UK and don’t have information on why Dokpesi was held and released. If it was a ra-pe case, will they release him? It is the most unfair allegation against him. Where did the ra-pe occur? Is it in Nigeria or UK?

“If Nigeria didn’t fight, is it the UK that will fight him over ra-pe? Those who are brandishing that false allegation should be able to say where the alleged ra-pe took place. Those brandishing that nonsense are not fair to that man.

“R-ape! At what age? Something that he didn’t do at a younger age, is it at over 70 years that he would do that?”.
