ABIA 2023: Spokesperson Reveals What Otti Will Do As Regards LGA Financial Autonomy  | MUST READ/ WATCH VIDEO

The spokesperson for Alex Otti campaign organisation, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma has assured Abians that his principal, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate will grant financial autonomy to Local Government Areas in the state if elected come 2023.

Ekeoma while speaking on Thursday, October 28 in an AF-TELEVISION Interactive programme; “Time Out With Alex Otti’s Team” noted that granting the Local governments financial independence will encourage direct development in the local government areas.

“He (Alex Otti) will do the needful to ensure that the local governments are functional and effective to the point that they will be able to carry out developmental projects and by so doing, it will impact positIvely on the economy of the state as a whole ” Ekeoma assured.

He added that granting financial autonomy to the local governments will also discourage rural -urban migration. According to him, most persons have migrated from their villages to the city in search of greener pastures because the rural areas are not developed nor provided with the necessary amenities.
