Popular Nigerian film actor and producer, Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has debunked the rumour of ever cheating on his wife, Jumoke.
The former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State faulted the claims noting that he is not in a ‘celebrity marriage’.
All Facts News understands that there were rumours that the actor was in an extra-marital relationship. The flying stories had alleged that he (RMD) was involved with a certain Chioma Ilomuanya. The lady who is believed to be an interior decorator has allegedly been seeing the actor for a while.
However, reacting to the claims in an interview with Nigerian journalist and media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the actor described as purported lies the reports of him dumping his wife.
He said: “This is the age of social media. There are people who, they look at you and don’t have any regard for the sanctity of your marriage or your home.
“All you want to do is just tear me down, saying things like oh he’s in love with somebody else, he’s going to leave his wife tomorrow.
“Why do people like to see celebrity marriages crash? I’ve never really seen myself as a celebrity and so my marriage is not a “celebrity marriage” and so she has kept it.”
