US based professional Chartered accountant, Chief Daniel Eke, has joined the 2023 race for the Abia state governorship position.
Chief Eke who hails from Igbere, formally declared his intention to run under the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.
Addressing his supporters and executives of the party’s State Working Committee, the aspirant noted that he decided to avail himself to rescue Abia from recklessness after extensive consultation.
Eke noted that his agenda is built on to; Reclaim, Restore and Modernize Abia to ensure that peace and good governance take over the current challenges facing the state.
“Abians let’s reclaim restore modernize God’s own state.
“I believe that the time has come for our beloved state to enjoy leadership”.
The hopeful assured that if given the mandate, he would employ technology, enter into public private partnership with foreign countries to develop all sectors of the state.
In his response, APC State chairman, Rt. Hon Iheanacho Obioma (Chomen), described Eke as a good man.
He assured that the contest will be free and fair and all aspirants would be given equal opportunity.
