The member representing Aba South State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Obinna Ichita has alleged that his attackers came with the intent to kill and to stop further questioning on the $56million received for the construction of roads.
Ichita who stated this on his official Facebook page few minutes after he was attacked, stated that his attackers were trying to mute questions on the fund received from the World Bank for the construction of roads in Aba south and also the Paris fund refund.
The Honorable member wrote;
Dear constituents and friends,
this is to bring to your attention that I came under attack while meeting with my constituents today.
The number of people injured is not yet ascertained at this moment.
The attackers were sent to kill with the intention of stopping further questions about the 56 Million US dollars received from the World Bank for the construction of roads in Aba South and the whereabouts of the Billions of Naira received as part of Paris Club refund.
A group of thugs had reportedly invaded a Town Hall meeting convened by Ichita at 20 PortHarcourt Road Aba, in their vehicle and disrupted the meeting.
